oxyGEN March Madness Fundraiser 2023

Are you getting excited for the March Madness basketball tournament? What better way to get excited for one of sports’ most anticipated events other than a great fundraiser for the oxyGEN Scholarship Fund!

Please note – this fundraiser is open to company employees only. Do not share on social media.

Important! This is a highly time-sensitive event with specific start and end times. Please see below.

  • Time you can begin to fill out your bracket: Any time after March 12th at 8pm ET.
  • Time that your bracket must be completed: By 12pm ET on Thursday, March 16th, 2023.
Help us raise money for the oxyGEN Scholarship fund!

How to sign-up:

  • Cost – $10 per bracket
  • Please purchase a bracket via Venmo @oxyGENERG with your name, company ID, and chapter (e.g., John Smith, js123x, DFW)
  • Follow this link and choose the red button that says “create a bracket now”.
    • (Note – if you live in the DFW area, there are special instructions below – please use the link in the prize breakdown area instead).
  • Create an account if you do not have one already
  • Use your name for your preferred ESPN Name (e.g., JohnSmith1).
    • Note – If you do not do this, then you will not be eligible to win :(
  • After changing your name you should see a screen like what is shown below. Click “Create a Bracket Now!”
  • Name your bracket your first and last name (If you purchased multiple then number off your brackets, John Doe #2, for example.)
  • After creating a bracket you would continue onto “Join Groups” if you followed the link, you should see a screen as below with a selected group named “oxyGEN March Madness 2023”.
    • Hit continue again, you should not be sending out invite links through the ESPN site and invites are to only be granted to those who made purchases on the squares site.
  • Await Tournament Teams schedule release on March 13th, then fill your bracket(s) based on your predictions
  • Place bracket prediction (You have until March 16th) to make changes to your bracket(s) before it locks in for the first game to kick off March Madness, the bracket with the highest points wins!!

The prize breakdown:

1st Place: 35% of the pot

2nd Place: 15% of the pot

Those with the top two scores at the end of the March Madness Tournament will be notified via email of their winnings and how to claim!

The remainder of the pot will go to support the oxyGEN Scholarship Fund. A win-win!

Additional information:

March Madness is one of the most anticipated and watched events in all of sports. It is a NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. 

The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament is a single-elimination tournament of 68 teams that compete in seven rounds for the national championship. The penultimate round is known as the Final Four, when only four teams are left.

The March Madness bracket is the grid of all the teams in the tournament and the path they have to follow to the Final Four and the championship game. Filling out a bracket with the winners of each of the 63 games is a very challenging task! In fact,  nobody has successfully filled out a perfect bracket. But that is part of the fun, so be sure to try any way!

It is a two-step process:
1. Each bracket is $10. Purchase as many as you’d like by venmo-ing @oxyGENERG with your name, company ID, and chapter (e.g., John Smith, js123x, DFW)

2. Once you purchase your bracket, click here to select your bracket on the ESPN website. It is very important to follow this link, so that you will be placed in the oxyGEN group. 

Entries (and any changes to the bracket) must be completed by the time of the start of the first game on Thursday, March 16th, 2023.

There are multiple local oxyGEN chapters participating in this fundraiser. To ensure that your chapter gets credit – please make sure that you include your state in your Venmo note. If you do not have a local chapter in your area participating, your funds will go to oxyGEN National. Thank you!

After the tournament ends, all final winners will be communicated with within 3 business days via email. 

All proceeds will go to contribute to the oxyGEN Scholarship Fund. The oxyGEN Scholarship Fund is a scholarship that is given to high school and college students that are interested in pursuing a STEM career. To learn more about our scholarship program, please visit our page here.
